Just listed today - a new notecard five pack featuring art, as usual, by the talented Miss G. Watch out for her guest blog post in the next couple of days. I love her style and her humor (and I should probably mention that she's my youngest daughter!).
She doodled this sweet frog on a Post-It note while she was waiting for me to stop talking on the phone! His expression mirrors her's at the time...just thinking...just dreaming.
I also just opened a shop here on Zibbet, which is somewhat like Etsy but a little less saturated. I've enjoyed having a mooch around at the handmade goodies listed on both sites.

A couple of recent blog mentions for Kit and Caboodle Craft Kits! Thanks Zoe and Clementine NW!
I love Etsy. I love mama owned businesses. I love the Pacific Northwest. I love supporting those things by buying handmade, especially if it is eco-friendly, local, or made by moms. And, yes, I am a big believer in the idea that you get what you pay for…
...This Sew-a-Rabbit kit ($16.15 with other colors available) from Kit and Caboodle Designs is so cute! You can either make your sweet babe a sweet bunny, or let your older child have a great eco-friendly sewing project. Plus, it’s on sale now through Easter! Find all of the fantastic kits at http://www.etsy.com/shop/kitandcaboodledesign.

Thanks to Evergreen Moms for the great review!
My eldest has been eager to do craft projects lately. While I enjoy the afternoons creating our masterpieces, pulling together the necessary bits and pieces for a given project can sometimes be a pain in the you-know-what. And I'm a little dubious of many of the kits at the big box craft store, especially given the lead and other toxins that keep popping up in cheap toys.
Seattle's Kit and Caboodle Designs makes it a whole lot easier with their craft kits, ranging from sewing to jewelry to painting. They include nearly everything you need to complete the project, from pattern to materials to thread and needle. I love how they play with texture and color. Plus, they steer clear of plastics, opt for reused and recycled materials, and source them locally here in the Northwest, when possible.
Best of all, the end product is actually something you'd want to keep around, like the colorful owl family sewing kit (above) or Russian stacking dolls you paint yourself. There's even a Sew-A-Rabbit kit, just in time for Easter. Craft time just got a whole lot better.

Kit and Caboodle participated in this year's Phinney Winter Fair, which was a LOT of fun. The event attracts a crowds of people from near and far, all enthusiastic about handmade, quality goods. Our craft kits were very well received with many families snapping up several boxes to give as holiday gifts. It was great to be a part of such an inspiring crafty community - my neighboring vendors were generous with their advice and recommendations. We'll be there next year!

Today is a busy day putting together a new stockpile of kits; with the travels of the past couple of months, I'm a little behind with replenishing the shop after Christmas. Orders have been placed for new paints, threads, roving and other goodies.
